THE VISION

BUILDING A FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE SO OTHERS CAN EXPERIENCE TRUE LIFE.

Foundation Forward is not just about bricks and mortar at Victory Church or a brand new Foundation Christian Academy; it’s about bringing Heaven to earth. It’s about expanding our outreach and impact, allowing us to more effectively serve our community. And we believe now is the time to continue the foundation already set here in Bloomington—to see people engaged with truth, established in faith, and equipped with purpose.

Our heart is to join in what God is already doing. Together, we can make a lasting impact that resonates through the years and leaves a foundation of faith and true life in Jesus for generations to come.

A Biblical Call to Build
a Foundation for the Future.

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.

By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

OUR STORY,
GOD’S FAITHFULNESS.
(SO FAR).

A new church is formed.

Victory Christian Center holds its first service in the basement of a Bloomington real estate office. The 13 people in attendance hear Pastor Ed’s heart and calling to establish a life-giving, spirit-empowered church planted in the soil of Bloomington-Normal.

A new building for worship.

After breaking ground just one year earlier, Victory holds its first service in the new building. The sanctuary is a place of full-scale worship as the building is dedicated to the Glory of God.

A devastating fire at Victory Church.

On January 10, 2022, Victory Church experienced a fire that devastated our 18-year-old facility. Due to the fire, smoke, water and heat damage, the building was considered a total loss. Multiple local churches in the community opened their doors to Victory to continue services and outreaches.

Rise & Rebuild.

A declaration and call for the Lord to bring beauty from ashes. Half of the funds needed are raised, but due to insurance funds being exhausted, there is a signifcant financial shortage to see the vision fully brought to life.

Foundation Forward.

A new, expanded vision for our Church a + Christian School for our community is birthed. A school to bring the hope and life of Jesus far beyond the 4 walls of the church. We believe the best chapters of our church and community are waiting to be written.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where will the funds raised during the campaign be allocated?

This brand-new facility is 24,000 square feet of worship and discipleship space that will be designed to engage, establish, and equip believers and students to impact our community and beyond. Every dollar raised will go directly into the completion of Phase 1. Phase 1 Completion will include construction work for projects such as electrical, insulation, exterior siding, heating and cooling (GeoThermal), drywall and cosmetic work, sound equipment, plumbing, security system and more.

Why didn't insurance cover the full cost of the fire at Victory Church?

We live in unprecedented times. The fire that destroyed our previous facility happened in the middle of the worst inflation in a generation. Due to the rising cost of materials and other new building factors, we have had to pursue campaigning for the remaining funds to rebuild. The campaign funds to rebuild, however, will now include the launching of a brand new Christian school: Foundation Christian Academy.

How can I contribute to the capital campaign, and what are the giving options available?

You can give to Foundation Forward online by going to our Commitment Page or by sending a check written to Victory Church, Memo: Foundation Forward.

What is the timeline for the Foundation Forward?

Phase 1 Completion is aiming for 5-6 months. As donation goals are reached, contractors will be able to finish their assigned projects. You can help us reach every milestone to see Phase 1 become a reality. Every dollar counts!

Why start a Christian school?

Victory Church has and always will be a church passionately pursuing Jesus. Since our first service on February 7, 1999, we’ve been a community of believers that believes in raising up the next generation of believers to become revival leaders in our nation. Since January 2022, the Lord has accomplished a renewal work in our vision as a church to rise up and meet a growing need in our region, which is the increased demand for foundational, effective and lasting Christian Education. As a ministry, we are joining the ranks alongside the other incredible Christian Schools in our region to allow more opportunities for more children to be trained and discipled. The enemy is after the hearts and souls of our children and public school education is becoming more and more in opposition to our Christian values and beliefs. It’s time for the Church of Jesus Christ to step up and speak life into the next generation of Christians. Foundation Christian Academy will be one of the ways we meet that call.

Let's embrace God's call to ignite revival in our city.

Make an impact by praying, giving, and sharing.
